摘要(Abstract)：

<正> The conference on stratigraphic classification and nomenclature of Upper Precamb rian held in Beijing on July 22—24, 1982 was organized by the Commission on stratigraphy of China. The discussion was centred on the meaning of the term "Sinian" and the extent of its usage. This eonferenee is of great significance in the discussion of the stratigraphic problems of China convened for the first time by the Commission on stratigraphy of China.
