Founded in 1966, Journal of Stratigraphy (Dicengxue Zazhi) is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal, covering fundamental and applied aspects of all stratigraphic disciplines including biostratigraphy, lithostratigraphy, magnetostratigraphy, chronostratigraphy, event stratigraphy, chemostratigraphy, tectonostratigraphy, seismic stratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy, cyclostratigraphy,ecostratigraphy, quantitative stratigraphy, and the aspects of geology, sedimentology, palaeogeography, palaeoecology, and palaeoclimatology concerned with stratigraphical issues. The journal also publishes book reviews and conference reports if they are of relevance to stratigraphy.
